The induction process often is the measure of a building manager

A building management company can boast all of our processes and expertise, but in the end actions count. When a Building Manager skips through an induction without instilling the respect an induction deserves, expectations change.

If a contractor doesn’t respect the process’s or feels the building management is not proactive regarding safe-work practises, many contractors will take safety risks and short cuts because it is usually easier, its human nature.

The induction process often is the measure of a building manager, there are times when a contractor needs to be stopped or even removed from a building during remedial works. There are times when project managers taking safety short cuts to save time and money, as the client representative, you as building management need to step up and be that obstacle.

All of these examples are situations I have managed over the last 12 months, however none of this would have been achievable if my induction and contractor management process was compromised at the beginning.

Grays Rescue Building Management keep all contractors at arm’s length and without exception, we educate every contractor with what is expected.

Let’s strive for ‘better building management” as a building management community.
